R 18Big Boxer 1802
The R 18 is BMW Motorrad's return to a classic large-capacity cruiser, built around the 1,802cc air/oil-cooled "Big Boxer" twin, the largest boxer BMW has produced. It pairs exposed shaft drive and a double-loop steel frame with retro styling nodding to the 1936 R 5. The core R 18 is the stripped bar-and-shield roadster-cruiser; touring variants (Classic, B, Transcontinental) share the engine but add bodywork.

- •Figures are for the base/core model of each family; variants (R 18 Classic/B/Transcontinental, R nineT Pure/Scrambler/Urban G/S) differ.
