Harley-Davidson specs
A model-year spec database for the workshop favourites — engines, chassis, brakes and the numbers that matter, from 2008 to 2026.
BreakoutFXSB / FXBR / FXBRS
Introduced 2013. A long, low, drag-inspired custom. The original ran a Twin Cam 103 on the old Softail frame; fully redesigned in 2018 with the Milwaukee-Eight on the new unified Softail platform. Discontinued in the US 2020–22, relaunched 2023 with the M8 117. Always defined by an oversized 240mm rear tyre and 21-inch front wheel.
Notes & conventions
- •HP is measured at the rear wheel unless marked "crank" or "claimed". Factory crank HP runs 10–15% higher than dyno rear-wheel HP.
- •Harley-Davidson traditionally did not publish HP figures for Twin Cam models — pre-2017 HP values are from independent dyno tests.
- •Torque figures are typically factory-claimed (crank); rear-wheel torque is roughly 10–15% lower.
- •M8 = Milwaukee-Eight engine family. TC = Twin Cam. ESPFI = Electronic Sequential Port Fuel Injection.
- •C-ABS / C-TCS / C-DSCS = Cornering-enhanced ABS / Traction Control / Drag-torque Slip Control. TPMS = Tyre Pressure Monitoring.
